Lintor Town is a fully DCC operated layout, and includes working Points, Signals and along with an Indexable Turntable. Uncoupling is a totally "hands off" action using the Gingham Uncoupling system. There are working Platform and yard lighting, and the Station buildings have interior lights. The signal box also has interior detail that is visible when the lights are on.

The layout is based on a fictitious GWR country branch terminus with a variety of Loco's (tender and tank loco's) and Rolling stock to allow for a date range of 1920's/1930's. There is also an option to advanvce the date by 10 years to the 1930's/1940s.

The complete layout consists of five seperate boards with a total size, (including fiddle yard) of 23' 6" x 2' (7.2m X 0.6m), of which 16' is scenic, on boards four boards, each measuring 4' x 2'.
